Okay…so it’s not really 80…but it is a substantial amount. I realize not all of you live in New York, so my posts on the New York restaurant scene can become a bit tired. Should you find yourself in these necks of the woods, here is where you can go to get some tasty snackage.
Bear Creek Mountain Resort and Blue Mountain Ski Area are ramping up their snowmaking efforts to counter the recent dry spell, and as a further incentive the two Lehigh Valley, PA-area ski resorts are offering Stay and Ski packages that combine vouchers for skiing, boarding or tubing with lodging at one of 13 participating area hotels. These packages are valid through March 31.
Rates at Bear Creek start at $95 per person at the resort’s slopeside hotel, which features indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Call 1-866-754-2822 or visit www.discoverlehighvalley.com/stay/hotels-motels/bear-creek-mountain-resort-2
Blue Mountain Ski Area boasts the highest vertical in Pennsylvania (1,082 ft), and the region’s only Natural Luge Run open to the public. This season it has added two new trails: Razorback for experienced skiers and Little Gap for beginners. Visit www.discoverlehighvalley.com/play/attractions/blue-mountain-ski-area

Welcome to 2012, friends! Happy to see you here. Did you get all of those deliciously sin-filled activities done by midnight on December 31? Are you feeling baptized and reborn in the promising glow of a new start (which will fade by February, I’m sure)? I certainly hope so.
We are going to start off 2012 with a very vague post. I like to keep it vague because that just leaves room for a world of possibility. (Or I just don’t have anything specific to write about.) Anyway, Lonely Planet, once again, shared this awesome post about the top 10 things to do in 2012. Take a look! It’s early enough in the year that we can make grand statements about all the exotic places we are going to travel. Shh….just go with it.
Get ready for tomorrow when we will host the first Name that Skyline! contest of the year.
So here it is, friends. The last Frugal Friday (and post) of 2011. I’d like to thank everyone who supported the new and improved trippin: a travelogue. It’s been great being back in the swing of things. Here’s to a fun 2012 filled with more trippin than you can ever imagine.
Starting with, perhaps, this deal from Priceline. From $73 a night and up, you can book a stay at the 4-star Monte Carlo Resort & Casino, Gran Melia Golf Resort Puerto Rico, The Westin Maui Resort & Spa and more. Happy New Year!!!!
So this past week I was in Vegas. It was 85 every day. At home in New York? An icy 62. If you are like me and you prefer your balmy 80-plus-degree climate to your rainy, chilly and somehow STILL humid weather, I suggest you check out this deal.
Harbor Beach Marriot Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale is offering a Name Your Rate Sundays package. Huh? Guests who stay three nights, including Sunday, can name their own price for Sunday night with no minimum rate!
